 Following his TKO cut loss to Billy Bob Brown at Combate 137, the now former Combate Heavyweight champion Jeronimo Puno (24-10 MMA, 7-2 Combate) quietly retired from the sport, congratulating his opponent before placing his gloves inside the cage and stepping away.
He didn't do an interview. He didn't make any noise. He just walked away from human cockfighting and got on the fastest plane to the Bahamas.
For a Puno, and son of Kajun, two former #1 P4P fighters and legends of the sport, Jeronimo's career was a bit of a disappointment in comparison. Although he is a two-time Combate Heavyweight champion, it seemed like he squandered every opportunity to burst into stardom, failing to put together a win streak longer than 4.
However, his shortcomings might not all have been his fault. 4 of his 10 TKO losses are due to cut stoppages. Some would argue corrupt officials, dirty laundry, and incompetent Brazilian doctors as the reason for this. Puno fans would be inclined

 Minsk, Belarus - In the marijuana fields on the outskirts of Minsk, the Belarusian fighter Anzor Dankovich quietly tends to his gardens. Even in the harshest of weathers, he's always been determined to get the highest yields. His resilency is somewhat of a legend of local lore, as the farmer-turned-professional MMA fighter has carved a name for himself on the MMA scene for being a finisher.

 WVT CORRUPTION & FIGHT FIXING
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil - Like all dirty things in South America, a dirty rat has come forward with allegations against World Vale Tudo organization. Accusing org owner Alfred Winterbottom of fight fixing, money laundering, tax evasion, and embezzlement. Alfred Winterbottom is known for running multiple organizations into the ground before filing bankruptcy, and rumors are stirring that he's at it again, but this time some even more devious allegations have been made.
"He's paying fighters to take dives." A man whose identity shall be concealed claims. "Paying them to keep it standing, paying them to fall in round 4. It's an embarrassment to the sport."
These allegations haven't been proven factual, and Alfred remains innocent until proven guilty, but they are certaintly unsettling accussations towards the up and coming organization.

 The upstart new fight organization, SM Fight Liiga based out of Helsinki, has had a solid start to their emergence into the MMA discussion.
Having now held their first two events, with another two booked for later this year, the fresh organization devoted to delivering the best possible homegrown martial arts experience to Finland has accomplished good things, but owner Billy Talent has now illusions about what comes next.
"Ultimately, we've had a good start in our eyes, not making any money, but getting our name out there and showing that we plan on putting on good fights and giving fighters a quality option outside of the likes of the GAMMA, the SMASH, and the other big time organizations currently in the market." Talent stated in a video interview earlier this week.

 Greetings managers, fighters, and fans alike! It has a little while since I left the ranks of Bellicose in Sonny’s hands to move on to SYN and after working with Sonny for the better part of a year, I knew Bellicose would be in good hands with him. Unfortunately, real life happened, and Sonny has had to step away from the game. We, here at Bellicose, are wishing him the best and hope for a quick return.
Unfortunately, with his absence, the org has fallen into a dark spot. There were no events booked, no fights taking place, and many managers started leaving with their fighters due to inactivity. While this is entirely the managers choice, we understand the choice to do so, but I have had to step back in to save this great org.
