 Chris Karter had a lot to celebrate at Combate 348 but don’t expect him to applaud the judges or referees working the event.
There were more than a few controversial scorecards delivered — perhaps none more important than Oswaldo Faddar Jr getting a decision win over Elrey Dorado in the main event — as well as some gaffes from less experienced referees that marred a few of the fights on the card. When it came specifically to the scoring at Combate 348, Karter didn’t mention any fights by name, but he was clearly not happy with some of the results returned.
“I thought the judging tonight was trash,” Karter said at the post-fight press conference. “I felt like I was at a boxing match in Brazil tonight. Oh wait, I was. I thought the judging was trash. I’ll just leave it that. It was atrocious.”
It’s possible Karter was also referencing one of the two split-decisions elsewhere on the card, although he definitely wasn’t happy with Brazilian judges in the main event.
“It’s common sense,” Karter said. “When the judges are influenced by their own personal bias, of course they go with the hometown kid. These Brazilians are as dirty as they come. Just look at this card, if it went to the judges, I bet the Brazilian guy won.”
Karter was critical of the scoring because he doesn’t understand how someone like Fadda Jr is being rewarded by winning rounds yet not inflicting any real damage.

Tam Yu Tai is a former top 10 ranking fighter and is one of the all time greats of the modern GAMMA era, with a record inside GAMMA of 22-9-0.
Known for his chin and KO power, he has a total of 15 finishes among those 22 fights, which ranks him among the best KO artists in the lower weight divisions.

 After a long break from the virtual fighting world, MMA Hype is back and bigger than it ever was. Brett Clarke and Jared Asante moved back to Las Vegas and initially started a private gym, where they planned to train and promote a new generation of fighters. Just a few days after, it started to itch. Brett thought it was from a previous encounter with a lady, so he bought himself some fungal cream. Turns out it was the itch to promote ALL of the new generation of fighters.
Fast forward to today. Brett and Jared, along with James Listerman and Jay Lawrence, invested in a new fight organization that targets all new fighters that are looking for a place to fight and rise to the top.
