Round 6 Review

Event Review: KTC 185 - R6
The KT Cup
2024-11-16, Sydney, The Bridge
Attendance:9,645, Event Rating:109
Author:Tosh Lodi

The penultimate round was a doozy! All fights, bar one, producing finishes and we also had numerous 100% rating fights - which Mark Roland will be very happy about!

Augusto Nilo and Allen Douglas received automatic wins for their 'actual' opponents not showing up - Douglas even managed to defeat his replacement opponent, which will bring immense joy to his manager Alfred Winterbottom no doubt.

The Golden Shower

Fighter profile of Elrey Dorado by Chris Karter

Elrey Dorado (19-7-0 MMA, 10-2 Combate) is back in the win column after a dominent, if slightly undramatic victory over Germany's Bender Mein Armbach.(37-27-1 MMA, 3-5 Combate) at C360: Marley vs Kringle a few weekends ago.

The German population from the local Argentinan towns must have came to the event in full force, because Bender had the crowds support when he entered the cage. That didn't stop Elrey from taking the German opponent down and imposing his will on him, dictating the grappling exchanges and constantly giving him the business. At the end of three rounds Elrey was declared the winner via unaminous decision in a lopsided 30-27 affair on all three scorecards.

Most pundits expected Elrey, the former 5 time Combate welterweight champion, to make quick work of his opponent. The fact that it lasted all three rounds is pretty disappointed for most fans and gamblers rooting for The Golden Boy. Truth be told, Bender looked so bad out there it was hard for Elrey to look good - it was as if somebody forgot to set Bender's sliders entirely, or he autbotted into the contest with preset rage sack settings. In other words, never go full spectre.

Elrey is a product of Convicted Fight Club and his journey to the premier organization in the world didn't come with a little adversity. He's a Bolivian kickboxer and BJJ enthusiest who grew up selling cocaine to support a nasty hooker habit. Battling sex addiction wasn't easy for a wild man living in third world poverty, but slanging that yayo led to him traveling illegally to Los Angeles where he started training at the #1 gym in the MMA world, Convicted Fight Club.

Rumors have it that Elrey Dorado's next opponent will be a rematch with the current champion who took his belt, Brazilian homecoming king, Oswaldo Fadda Jr (20-7 MMA, 2-0 Combate). We can't confirm when the fight will take place exactly, but I guarantee by the time the next edition of the times is released it will be booked and confirmed so tune in fight fans! Vote for Elrey!

GAMMA: John Coffey HOF Induction

Global Association of MMA, Fight Organization, London
Company profile by Mentor Guru Corleone

John Coffey, also known as Patriot, has now entered the GAMMA Hall of Fame!

John is an all time legend in the game, being also an MMA Tycoon inductee. In GAMMA is inducted with just 53 total fights, only 3 other managers got inducted with fewer. He did this by being super efficient, winning a total of 66% of his total fights and ending with a total record in GAMMA of 35-18-0.

From those 53 fights, 25 of them were either title or super fights (1 total super fight). His most successful fighter was of course recent GAMMA HOF inductee, Pat Verbeek (266187), who is also a game HOF, being ranked #1 in the game back in 2019.

John is ranked #36 all time in the manager list with 358 points, but probably would of ranked much higher, if he started fighting in the org earlier, as he joined MMA Tycoon back in 2013 but his first significant signings for the org were in 2018 and by mid 2021 he was already retired from the game.

All in all, one of the greatest managers this game has ever seen and at various periods of time was considered the best manager competing.

Rising Star in MMA: Smedt Van Kampen Looks to Dominate After

Fighter profile of Smedt Van Kampen by George Jones

In the competitive world of mixed martial arts, a fighter’s early victories often indicate a bright future—and Smedt Van Kampen is quickly proving to be a name to watch. With a perfect 2-0 record to start his career, the Dutch-born fighter is already generating buzz for his well-rounded skill set and relentless approach inside the cage.

Making his MMA debut earlier this year, Van Kampen wasted no time showcasing his wrestling pedigree, dominating his opponent with relentless pressure and a powerful takedown game. His first win, a decisive victory, was a clear demonstration of his grappling superiority. In his second fight, he displayed not only his strong wrestling but also his smooth BJJ transitions, quickly sinking in submissions after taking the fight to the ground.

While still in the infancy of his MMA career, Smedt Van Kampen’s dominance in the cage suggests that we may soon see him challenging the best grapplers in the sport. With an undefeated 2-0 record, Van Kampen is a name to watch closely as he continues to refine his skills and make his mark on the MMA world.

Mikael Li is the God of QFC

Event Review: Mikael Li Ascends to the Hall
💥Just Fights💥 (No Training)
2024-11-16, London, The Underground - London
Attendance:487, Event Rating:66
Author:Billy Bobbit

There are a whole bunch of religions in the world with a whole lot of opinions. And I'm here to tell them they are all WRONG!

I've seen GOD and his name is Mikael Li

Every man that enters a cage with him has hopes and dreams but not a single one has survived to the judges. There have only been two that have even made it out of the 1st round. There is not a human alive that would not submit to him.

 Resurrection 11 Event Preview!!!

Alright, with those opening words out of the way, it’s time to get to the good stuff!  Tonight, Resurrection 11 gives you just about everything you could ask for, short of some of the BIG, BIG boys from the Heavyweight division.  But, you know what?  An event without the BMF’s of MMA just means that the next event is likely to be chock full of those behemoths!!!

Once again, we’re down in Sydney for Resurrection 11 but rather than the smaller Hard Knocks Arena we’re going to be giving the Bondi a try just down the road.  It holds about double the capacity, and hopefully, TRIPLE the excitement and energy! 5,750 screaming, violence crazed fans sounds like a dream to me,  And with a Middleweight title fight on the horizon for the Main Event, I expect the energy to build as the night goes on.  I don’t know about you, but with all that said, and as I always say as well, nobody wants to hear me drone on and on.  So, the Donkster and I are going to jump right into it now.

The full preview is now up here, enjoy!
