New Year Bash 2021!
Hello out there to Sucker Punch fans worldwide!
I’m Hare Rumpler and I’ll be joined by my partner and analyst, Donkey “Dan”, as we prepare to ring in the New Year and leave this nasty 2020 behind us! For folks in Sydney, this event will take place on New Year’s day as Sydney has just celebrated the New Year as I write this and probably within a couple hours of you reading it! For the rest of the world, some of us will barely be into 2021 when the event pops off…with Europe just getting close to waking up on January 1st, the east coast of the US just having finished singing, celebrating and smooching and the west coast of the US still waiting for an hour or two as they continue to party right on through our event…hopefully enjoying some of the action of Sucker Punch Pro Series 33 while the festivities continue!
No title fights on the line to start out the New Year…but that doesn’t mean that this card isn’t packed with action and hype! On the contrary, the top three fights on the card are some of, if not THE, highest combination of three fights we’ve ever had on a card! So there’s that, and then there is a ton of other great matchups all lined up for you folks as well.

Everything starts off as Sebastian Ramirez makes his Sucker Punch debut tonight and goes in to challenge SPPS Welterweight vet Chaz Campbell. Montesh Dominguez is primed and ready to go for the second fight of the night in a Lightweight contest with none other than Francois Oosthuizen in a chance for Montesh to really step up and make a statement…or for Francois to show just why he was a Top Contender and had a shot at the title recently! Suzy did a sit down with Gunnar Pleysa, manager for Montesh, yesterday so that’s going to be on tap later today for you guys also! Good stuff.
That’s just to kick things off…there’s a ton of other action in between, with a Light Heavyweight bout featuring Lampi and Amaike, a back and forth with a pair of Featherweight fights and another pair of Lightweight contests and then a big Welterweight showdown between Carter Ortiz and Chief Zapata just before we get to the Main Events! The Main Events will be something every single person at Hard Knocks – Sydney is looking forward to as they feature fan favorites Sith Rebel going against ZaDarius Haden in the Co-Main and then capping off the evening will be the long, long awaited rematch between Jack Sparrow and Destin Craven! This one will be awesome as Craven got the better of Sparrow two months ago, but since then Sparrow has been chomping at the bit to get his revenge…so much so that he agreed to finally take a title fight if he wins! Yes, you heard that right, if Sparrow wins, he will finally step into the cage with a belt on the line!
