POST EVENT CHEAP SHOTS

Sucker Punch Pro Series 38

Hey all you Sucker Punch fans out there, I’m Hare Rumpler along with my pal and analyst Donkey “Dan” and boy, I cannot wait to get into this with you guys!  It’s been two days now since SPPS 38 and very seldom has a “Post Event Cheap Shots” lived up to its name the way this one did!  Hell yeah, this review will hopefully pretty much write itself!

This event went off with a bang right from the start.  The fans over at Hard Knocks – Sydney got a treat, along with all those watching on the live stream, as the Undercard had three of the five fights come in with a 70+ rating!  All I can say is, that’s fantastic and for me at least, I’m always super excited when the opening fights turn into great ones!  Why?  Because we already know that the Main Card has fights that are going to be watched, looked forward to and essentially hold tons of interest typically. But when the Undercard fights come through big and thrust themselves right into the conversation the next day, well, that’s what makes a great event for me at least!

I hinted at it already here in the intro but some of our boys out there the other night did NOT shy away from holding themselves to the standard that is “Sucker Punch”!  Sure, they took a few artistic liberties with how a “Sucker Punch” is delivered and definitely went with it being defined more as simply a cheap shot, but damn, these boys were not kidding around.  I won’t tell you which ones, you’ll have to hang in there and wait for the details as we get into the fights in depth below, but I will say that one of the Undercard fights featured a man who latched onto his choice of cheap shots like a damned pitbull and just refused to stop! LOL! Insult to definite injury…he walked away with the win as well.  And I’m told that his opponent for the evening has already filed a complaint with the org that the dude should have been docked points and/or kicked from the fight after the third one…but um, well, Donkey, did you see any complaints?  Yeah, neither did I…it’s falling on deaf ears around these parts folks!  Hahaha!

The rest of this card generated big things going forward for Sucker Punch…and frankly a ton of jawing around in the forum following the event, which has me friggin’ out of my seat excited!  The seeds for some potential great new rivalries, the opportunities earned for a few to go on and get their shots and others who may have gotten knocked down a notch, but now have even more hunger…and desperation…to claw their way back were all generated by this event!  And frankly, I’m of the opinion that a little bit of both, hunger and desperation, in the right ratios is NOT a bad thing!

The full review is now up here for you guys!  Enjoy!
