Welcome back Sucker Punch faithful! I’m Hare Rumpler and as usual I’ll be joined by my pal and analyst, Donkey “Dan” as we get ready for a beautiful night of hard hitting action over at the amazing Bondi Outdoor Arena in Sydney! With the move to Bondi we move from the relatively intimate 3,000 seat Hard Knocks to a 5,750 seat outdoor venue that can truly let Sydney know what’s going on as we ramp up the energy each time Sucker Punch and our fans get going!
Another thing that has me totally excited is that this move over to the Bondi and us going into SPPS 51 tonight marks almost to the day (well, two days shy, April 5th!)…the Sucker Punch Pro Series Birthday!!! Yes, believe it or not folks, we are turning 1 Year Old this weekend! That’s a huge accomplishment and I can’t thank you guys, our managers and our fans, enough for all of your support over the past year. Since we opened for active recruitment on April 5th 2020 we will have 80 Events under our belt here with SPPS 51, including several Proving Grounds events that we got our feet wet with and then the Cockshot Sorter Series events that helped to establish our divisions and crown our first champions here at Sucker Punch!
Wow, what a year it’s been! And over the course of that year all of you helped this org get voted in as the 2020 Restricted Org of the Year! That’s just beyond anything I could have hoped for and is an amazing honor. I’d like to think we’re still going as strong as ever now and I look forward to another amazing year with you folks!
And to kick off the birthday bash this weekend we have an amazing card for you folks! I wouldn’t be surprised if this one ends up our highest rated event to date as the top five fights on this card alone outweigh most of our prior fights in hype! It’ll all be capped off tonight with a Heavyweight battle for the ages between challenger Sean Hill and the phenom, the beast, the man known simply as Thoth…Chontamenti!
Add to that that I’ve been told Suzy has a special edition of her “The Night Before…” coming at you folks later this evening and we’re set to really have some fun here! So, with all that said, let’s get a word about our sponsor and merchandise partner and move onto the good stuff!
