 Hello to our Sucker Punch faithful worldwide out there! Hare Rumpler here and I’m about to jump into what I hope will be a super-speedy preview along with my partner and buddy, Donkey “Dan” here. Why am I going to attempt a speedy preview? Well, because my middle daughter’s marching band will be at the football team’s playoff game tonight and I got suckered into lugging a bunch of the instruments over in my SUV being that the normal instrument truck is not available to the band today. So that means I have to cut out of here in less than four hours (from the time I’m starting to write this…likely shortly after I post this!) and have to make this quick!
But that doesn’t mean we don’t have some great action coming at you folks tonight!!! We do! Three action packed PPV hours of it as well along with seating for 30,000 screaming SPPS fans at the Sydney Superdome! And what do we have in store tonight over there? Well, let’s just say that the Featherweight title is on the line…yet it won’t be the Main Event despite being featured on the poster! Yes, we actually have a special guest stepping in for one fight, a short notice one at that, along with one of our own who is showing what intestinal fortitude is all about to get right back in there just a week or two after his last fight! We’ll talk about all of that a little bit more when we get into the Main Event later!
For now though, this is a Featherweight heavy card including the Title Fight I already mentioned. Along with all those “skinny boy slap fights”, as Nati and Risa would put it, we have a really nice Middleweight bout to open things between Glanton and Shigemasa that I expect to be a cool finish. We also have Ecker and Averyanov back I action after what feels like ages as they go at it and represent the Light Heavyweights tonight as the only pairing outside the Main Event. We also have a big boy bout between Teixeira and Conchobhar to open up the Main Card and a Lightweight battle between two of Sucker Punch’s best, Cobain and River, to lead us right into the final two Main Events of the evening. Woot! Yeah, good stuff folks!
