 Welcome back Sucker Punch faithful! It feels like these events are coming at us rapid fire at this point even though I know there’s been almost a week in between. But with two events in the next three days things are definitely picking up in pace! Tonight I, Hare Rumpler, along with my buddy Donkey “Dan” will be looking forward at all the action about to happen at SPPS 99 tonight! We’re back in Sydney at the Superdome with an “intimate” gathering of 30,000 fans…haha! Intimate relative to our last event where SPPS 98 was in the close to 94,000 seat Tokyo Dome!
No titles on the line tonight but still a ton of great action packed into this one! Being we’re back in our home town I’m relying upon all our crazy fans to make sure that Sydney knows we’re about! I’m especially excited that we have not one, not two, hell, not even three but FOUR big boy fights in the Heavyweight division taking place over the first six contests this evening! That’s a lot of beef getting into the cage and going at it with only a Middleweight and Welterweight bout breaking things up after the opening Heavyweight showdown!
We’ll then ease things out slowly…well, sorta…with a Light Heavyweight contest between Wille Thai and Victor Veidt, your classic grappler vs. striker affair…and then really light things on fire as the energetic small-beans get into the cage with the Thompson/Drake Featherweight Co-Main Event bookended by two fantastic Lightweight battles!
