Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Deangelo Flagg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phoenix Templar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Flagg comes to the cage accompanied by What Its Like. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Phoenix Templar was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flagg throws a leg kick
and Templar counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Flagg misses with a head kick.
Templar throws out a counter right but Flagg avoids it with no problem.
Flagg connects with an inside leg kick.
Flagg throws a head kick that misses.
Templar on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
A slapping leg kick lands for Flagg.
Deangelo Flagg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Templar ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Despite the aggression on Templar's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Flagg feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Templar working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Flagg doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Flagg manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Flagg content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Templar has locked up a guillotine! Templar's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Flagg is holding on here and Templar must be using up a lot of energy. Flagg has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Templar gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

Artist just misses with a punch to the body.
Korotkov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Artist's waist but Artist gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Korotkov off to one side.
Artist looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Korotkov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Artist circles away quickly and effectively.
Artist tests Korotkov's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Artist is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Korotkov.
OH! Korotkov has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Artist smells blood and charges in for the finish! Artist unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Korotkov sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!

Aoki throws a series of punches but Pope moves out of range.
Pope bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Decent striking displayed by Pope there.
Pope lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Aoki crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Pope - the referee stops the clock and Aoki gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Pope. Aoki manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Pope tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Aoki was well out of range. Poor timing from Pope.

Pope shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Aoki takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Pope sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Aoki bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!

Shore moves into range and connects with a jab.
Shore shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Delvin Shore seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Shore takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

It looks like Delvin Shore has been cut.
Weston throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Shore shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Weston defends it nicely.
Horrible takedown attempt by Shore or perhaps it was just good defense by Weston, which made it look bad.
