The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bottoms looking to score a takedown here. Frieza is defending well but Bottoms drives through and ends up in Frieza's guard.
Frieza wants to get back to his feet but Bottoms is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Bottoms definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bottoms stands and steps away. Frieza gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Frieza avoids the body shot from Bottoms.
Frieza darts in looking for a takedown but Bottoms gets double underhooks and turns Frieza into the cage.
Frieza ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bottoms moves away.
Bottoms shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Frieza eats them both and turns towards Bottoms to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Bottoms rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Frieza moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
