The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Muhammad walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

It looks like Atif Muhammad has been cut.
Muhammad is looking to clinch but Drago is avoiding it.
Some wild striking there from Drago.
Drago lands a two punch combo.
Muhammad tries to clinch up but Drago circles away and keeps his distance.
Drago fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Drago tries a head kick but it misses.

Muhammad drives through and clinches with Drago against the ropes.

Drago breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Drago lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Muhammad with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Okada lands a front kick to the face, that drops Asug to the canvas! Is he dazed or just shocked? He's back to his feet and the referee is going to allow him to continue the fight!
Asug with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Okada to score with a decent uppercut.

Asug is rocked!
Asug wants to clinch up but Okada keeps it at a distance.
Oh Asug is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A swing and a miss from Okada.
Sloppy strikes from Asug. Those never looked like landing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Okada just misses with a punch to the body.

Okada connects with a beautiful left hand that drops Asug onto his butt! Asug bounces straight back up though - he's OK. After the ref checks him out, we're back to the action.
Okada has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Asug is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Okada ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Asug out cold! The fight is over!

With a record of 30 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Nicolosi!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peterson connects with a nice looking jab.
Peterson swings for the body but Nicolosi moves out of range.
Nicolosi tries to counter with a clinch but Peterson shakes him off and moves away.
Nicolosi lands a jab to the head.

Nicolosi's coach down at Touch Of Death Combat Academy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Nicolosi's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Peterson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Peterson lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Nicolosi fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

It looks like George Peterson has been cut.
Nicolosi throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Nicolosi moves into range and connects with a jab.

The crowd cheers as Peterson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Nicolosi doesn't seem phased though.

Peterson needs to keep his hands up - Nicolosi had a free shot at his head there.
Nicolosi throws a hook but Peterson blocks it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Peterson fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Nicolosi.
Peterson loads up on a big right hand but Nicolosi slips the punch.
Nicolosi paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Peterson is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Nicolosi just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Peterson has gone limp and this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Frank Nicolosi!
Frank Nicolosi spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
