The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnett wants to clinch up but Kok keeps it at a distance.
Barnett shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kok defends it nicely.
Barnett fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Kok takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Barnett darts in looking for a takedown but Kok gets double underhooks and turns Barnett into the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Buddy Barnett. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Barnett closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kok did well to prevent Barnett getting side control.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Barnett connects with a nice short shot to Kok's temple.
Barnett takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
