Padraig Pearse told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Pearse is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Ukg has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Ukg moves forwards but Winger connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Ukg wants to clinch but Winger slips to the side
and Winger cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ukg tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Winger manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Winger cracks Ukg with a right hand to the side of the head.
Ukg tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Winger was well out of range. Poor timing from Ukg.
Ukg swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Ukg shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Ukg doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Winger lands a jab to the nose.
Ukg walks into a stiff left hand from Winger.

Winger lands a right hook to the body.
Ukg is still on wobbly legs! Can Winger finish him?
Ukg drops his hands momentarily. Winger doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Ukg staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Ukg doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Inu tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Johnson defends well and Inu ends up having to push Johnson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Shiba Inu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johnson connects with a high kick.
Inu fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Johnson avoids it really well and circles away.
Johnson has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
