Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vinnie Sixx (ranked 6678 p4p, 102 weight class) and Maikel Fortuyn (ranked 2390 p4p, 72 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Sixx might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Fire of Power by WATAIN. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Nice defenses there by Fortuyn.
Fortuyn throws a right hand that Sixx ducks under and follows up with a left that Sixx also avoids with ease.
Fortuyn avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Sixx lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fortuyn circles away quickly and effectively.
Fortuyn fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sixx manages to avoid it.
Sixx throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Fortuyn moves out of range as Sixx strikes.
Fortuyn has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Sixx steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Fortuyn.
Sixx misses with a few strikes there.

Fortuyn lands a head kick!

It looks like Vinnie Sixx has been cut.
No joy there for Sixx, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Sixx will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fortuyn throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Sixx crashing down! Sixx tries to stagger back to his feet but Fortuyn just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Sixx asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.

Head reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Head taps out! Nice BJJ there by Swearengen!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mumu lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Thomas up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Mumu from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Thomas's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
