The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Tiotio misses the target.
Samsonov swings away with a body shot that misses
and Tiotio counters with a nice uppercut.
Samsonov throws a head kick that misses.
A little jabbing left from Tiotio on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Tiotio ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Samsonov fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Samsonov swings widly with a right hand
and Samsonov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tiotio jabs Samsonov to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Samsonov is breathing heavily.
Tiotio misses with a lunging right hand
and Samsonov counters with a stiff right hand.

Tiotio lands a left and a right that send Samsonov crashing to the mat, dazed. Tiotio thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Tiotio fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

and Tiotio counters with a crisp right hand that drops Samsonov! Tiotio lets Samsonov back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Tiotio feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Samsonov sprawling to the canvas! Samsonov rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Tiotio finish him?!

Samsonov is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Oh Samsonov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Samsonov throws a right hand that misses
and Tiotio rattles Samsonov with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Samsonov tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Tiotio dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Samsonov stiff and motionless on the mat!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Ara Tiotio!
