Owens stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Inoue has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Owens manages to get his head free but now Inoue has transitioned to an armbar! Owens grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Inoue! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Kaiji Inoue!
Kaiji Inoue retains his lightweight title!
Kaiji Inoue took to the microphone after his victory and thanked his sponsors, Iron Wolf Discount Supplements (Q159/$200, Laundry for their support in the buildup to the fight.
Kolbee Owens was interviewed post fight and said 'I really put everything into this camp and match up, really going to need to go back to the drawing board after this one. Sorry to anyone I disappointed but I'll be back, I promise.'.
