I think Johnston might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Dacw 'Nghariad. The key to victory for Martin Johnston has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Jach Bresnar!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Alec Ball and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kasai scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
It looks like Jach Bresnar has been cut.
Bresnar bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Left hook, right uppercut from Bresnar.
Bresnar lands with a right hand.
Kasai lands a body shot.
Bresnar fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kasai looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bresnar has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Kasai catches Bresnar with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Bresnar misses with a double jab
and Kasai makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Bresnar lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Bresnar.
Bresnar misses the shot to the body.
Kasai steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bresnar.
Kasai was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Kasai ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bresnar moves away.
Bresnar misses with a lunging right hand
and Kasai makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Bresnar throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kasai on the side of the head.
A combination from Bresnar does no damage.

and Kasai counters with a straight right hand.
Bresnar looks to throw the jab but Kasai is out of range.
Kasai is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Kasai lands a nice shot to the body.
Kasai on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Bresnar fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A lazy left from Kasai finds it's target.
Kasai slips a jab from Bresnar.
Kasai lands a nice shot that snaps Bresnar's head back.
Bresnar fails to land with a series of punches.
Bresnar has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Bresnar uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kasai.
Bresnar throws a left and a right that both miss
and Kasai counters with a stiff right hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kasai throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Bresnar stumbling backwards into the cage! Bresnar bounces back off the cage towards Kasai, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Kasai lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Kasai celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Keizo Kasai!
