The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Wagner Zegers and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Epstein gets caught napping as Campos dives in and scores a takedown. Epstein manages to retain guard.
Epstein preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Campos will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Campos wants to control from the top but Epstein keeps moving.
Campos postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Epstein has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Campos throws an elbow that misses. Epstein uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Campos's guard. Nice move by Epstein!

Campos wants to sweep but no luck.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Epstein trying to control but Campos is working from the bottom.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Epstein swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Epstein feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Camposs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Epstein scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Campos tries to close the distance and clinch up but Epstein swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Epstein scores with a decent looking hook.
Campos is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Campos on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Epstein throws a body shot but no joy.
Epstein lands with a right hand.
Campos goes for a double leg but Epstein avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Epstein continues to drive forward.
Epstein pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Epstein misses with an uppercut. Campos saw that one coming.
Epstein throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Campos stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Campos tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Campos drops his hands momentarily and Epstein takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Epstein keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Epstein fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Campos on the side of the head.
Epstein lands with a nice body punch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Campos closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Campos throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Epstein to regain full guard.
Epstein is pulling down on Campos's head to control his posture.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alfie Epstein dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.

It seemed like Epstein was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Campos steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Epstein.
Campos takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Epstein changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Epstein is staying active underneath Campos, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Campos is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Epstein is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Epstein is looking to control Campos's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Epstein avoid being mounted?
Campos is looking to take a break and control but Epstein is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
