Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryu Aokison (ranked 1001 p4p, 146 weight class) and Jesus Malverde (ranked 1291 p4p, 187 weight class). Aokison comes to the cage accompanied by Caroline. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malverde ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Malverde misses with a hook. Aokison ducked under it nicely.
Aokison checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Malverde throws a hook to the side of Aokison's head but Aokison sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Malverde moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Malverde, as that shot connected.
Aokison blocks a jab.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Malverde has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Aokison is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Aokison slips a nice elbow through Malverde's hands, connecting with Malverde's forehead.

Aokison will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Malverde is looking for a sweep. Aokison is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Aokison takes a swing at Malverde's ribcage but misses.
Aokison takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Malverde tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Aokison was well out of range. Poor timing from Malverde.

Jesus Malverde seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Aokison throws the left hand but Malverde avoids the punch easily.
Aokison lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Malverde thuds his right hand into Aokison's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Malverde looking for a triangle here. Aokison is fighting it but it looks tight! Malverde pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Aokison is tapping out - this one is all over!

After the fight, Jesus Malverde was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
