Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nick Sins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 34 - 15 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eric Staal!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.

Staal gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Staal pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Staal will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Staal tries to clinch but Sins moves out of range.
Staal uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Sins.
Sins feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Staals jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Sins keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Nick Sins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eric Staal.

Sins throws out a loose jab but Staal uses good head movement to avoid it.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Staal is defended easily by Sins.
Staal connects with a high kick.
Staal shoots in looking for a takedown. Sins tries to sprawl out of it but Staal keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sins manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Sins throws a hook but Staal avoids it easily.
Nick Sins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Staal dodges the punch combination from Sins.
Staal wants to counter the offense by Sins and move into the clinch position.
Sins works the jab nicely.
Staal plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Staal has closed the distance and engaged Sins in a clinch.
Sins tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Staal tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Staal is trying to pull guard but Sins turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Sins lands a hook that snaps the head of Staal backwards.

A nice right hand lands inside from Sins.
Our sources have told us that Sins has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.
Staal jumps guard but Sins stands there with Staal around his waist. Staal gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Sins tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Sins lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Staal is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Sins pulls him back up using the underhooks.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sins prevents a takedown attempt there.
Staal's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Sins lands with a short shot to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Staal closes the distance and clinches up with Sins, looking for a takedown. Staal pushes Sins against the cage but Sins circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Sins fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Staal.
Staal moves in looking to clinch but Sins pushes him off.

A nice leg kick lands there from Sins.

Sins sets himself, and Staal steps forward looking for the clinch! Sins avoids it this time.

Staal gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Sins gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
