Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bjorn Akerfeldt!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Skip Squint and Ron Honeybunn.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bloode looks to score with a jab to the body but Akerfeldt is just out of range.

Akerfeldt rushes Bloode and presses him up against the cage.
Bloode misses with an elbow over the top.
With the fighters up against the cage, Bloode throws an elbow but misses.
Akerfeldt tries to pull guard but Bloode holds him up against the cage and eventually Akerfeldt drops back down to his feet.
Bloode lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

It looks like Bjorn Akerfeldt has been cut.

Akerfeldt jumps guard.
Bloode controls from within his opponent's guard.

Akerfeldt looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Akerfeldt looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Bloode is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Our spies down at at Iron Wolf Private Gym inform us that Akerfeldt has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Akerfeldt is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Akerfeldt had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bloode defends it easily.

Bloode avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Akerfeldt escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bloode gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bloode stays in close to Akerfeldt's body and controls the position.
Akerfeldt keeping full guard, as Bloode tries to pass.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Akerfeldt is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Bloode is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Akerfeldt has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Bloode is looking to defend but Akerfeldt has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Bloode! Akerfeldt pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Bloode taps out and this one is all over!
