PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Awee Bidziil (ranked 4938 p4p, 2024 weight class) and Cobweb Cooter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cooter has chosen Porch Honky as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Awee Bidziil!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cobweb Cooter!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bidziil throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Cooter was covering up waiting for the punch and Bidziil finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Cooter working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bidziil doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bidziil manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Bidziil postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Cooter wants to sweep but no luck.
Cooter is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bidziil missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bidziil is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Cooter has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Bidziil is looking to defend but Cooter has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Bidziil! Cooter pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Bidziil taps out and this one is all over!

During a confident post fight interview, Cobweb Cooter thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
