The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Diaz fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Peters sprawls well initially but Diaz persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Diaz perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Rory Diaz was stalling too much, according to the referee.
No luck for Peters with that takedown attempt.

Diaz shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Peters's guard.
Peters really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Diaz is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
