Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rory Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz comes to the cage accompanied by Youssoupha - Ne Compare Pas. White has chosen N/A as his entrance music. Alexander White told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rory Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alexander White!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White shoots in for a takedown but Diaz shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A good leg kick by Diaz.
Diaz with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Diaz throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. White was covering up waiting for the punch and Diaz finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Diaz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Diaz is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Diaz's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Diaz stays in close to White's body and controls the position.

Rory Diaz has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
White misses with a takedown attempt - Diaz sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Diaz ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
The fight stays on the outside here - White looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Diaz is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but White is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
A lull in the action here as Diaz stalls from top position.
Diaz lands a decent elbow from side control.
Diaz scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh White is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Diaz can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
