Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randall McSweeney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Poppy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McSweeney has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shirou Masuda and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McSweeney throws a head kick but Poppy moves out of range.
Poppy avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Poppy shoots in but McSweeney avoids the takedown attempt easily.
McSweeney dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Poppy. That did some damage!
McSweeney connects with an inside leg kick.
Poppy tries to land a leg kick but McSweeney saw it coming and moves away.
McSweeney moves into the clinch successfully.
McSweeney stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Poppy is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
McSweeney could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Poppy throws a leg kick that is checked
and McSweeney counters with an inside leg kick.

McSweeney is looking to slow Poppy down with leg kicks.
McSweeney lands with a thumping leg kick.
Poppy does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Poppy throws a big shot that misses.

Poppy shoots in and gets a takedown into McSweeney's guard.
Poppy thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Poppy is looking to work some ground and pound but McSweeney has wrist control.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as McSweeney holds on and takes a little breather.
Poppy drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Poppy as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! McSweeney screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Poppy! Nice submission victory there!
