Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shinobi Wan Kenobi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rory Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wan Kenobi's entrance music is Brand New - Welcome To Bangkok. A fine choice. Diaz has chosen Youssoupha - Ne Compare Pas as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Rory Diaz is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wan Kenobi throws a leg kick but Diaz moved away.
Wan Kenobi gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Diaz.
Wan Kenobi fails to land with a series of punches.
Diaz throws a big shot that misses.
Wan Kenobi shoots in for a double leg but Diaz sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Wan Kenobi throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Wan Kenobi ducks under a wild hook from Diaz.
Wan Kenobi throws a head kick that misses.
Wan Kenobi's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Diaz connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Wan Kenobi scrambles back to his feet.
Diaz tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Wan Kenobi misses with a hook. Diaz ducked under it nicely.
Diaz will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Diaz uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Wan Kenobi.
Diaz misses with a double jab
and Wan Kenobi connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Diaz trying to control but Wan Kenobi is working from the bottom.

Wan Kenobi is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Diaz works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Wan Kenobi tries to get to full guard but Diaz has control of the leg.
Diaz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wan Kenobi keeps working.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Wan Kenobi is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Diaz looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Wan Kenobi with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Diaz is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Diaz looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Wan Kenobi is trying to stand back up but Diaz is controlling him

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Diaz thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Wan Kenobi's head.
Wan Kenobi wants to improve his position but Diaz is controlling well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Diaz is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Wan Kenobi can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Diaz lands a big elbow.
BOOM! Diaz connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Wan Kenobi tries to hold on but Diaz pushes him away.
Wan Kenobi is bucking up trying to escape but Diaz cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Diaz postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Wan Kenobi in real trouble here! The ref calls for Wan Kenobi to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
