The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kush takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Carter feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Kushs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Michael Carter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kush tries to keep at a distance but Carter has taken the fight into the clinch.
Carter scores with a shoulder strike.
Kush tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Kush fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Carter scores with a nice hook to the head.
Carter scores with a shoulder strike.
Kush is trying to pull guard but Carter turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
A body shot lands from Carter.

Carter has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Kush regains guard immediately.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kush being controlled here, momentarily.
Carter continues to stall.
Carter wants to control from the top but Kush keeps moving.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Carter seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Carter is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Kush is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Carter trying to control the position from guard on top but Kush is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Kush pushes a forearm under Carter's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Carter is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Arjan Kush very nearly forgot to thank King of Fists amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
Michael Carter spoke after the fight, saying 'You tricky sonovabitch'.
