Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Michael Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xi Lim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter comes to the cage accompanied by Jazz Cartier - New Religion. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

That was a close round but I would say that Michael Carter will probably get the nod.

Carter shoots for a double leg takedown but Lim sprawls well. He's pushed Carter's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Michael Carter's cut is getting worse.
Carter's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Lim connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Carter scrambles back to his feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Lim drops Carter with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Carter looks back up at him and smiles so Lim waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
