These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Norman Havret!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nardong Putik!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Putik swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Havret swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Havret is looking to slow Putik down with leg kicks.
Havret lands with a nice body punch.
Havret bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Havret tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Putik counters with a straight right hand.
Putik throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Havret lands with a nice body kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Putik tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Havret was well out of range. Poor timing from Putik.
Havret steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Putik.
Havret is looking to counter punch.
Jab by Havret.
Putik throws a shot from downtown. Havret moves away and avoids it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A swing and a miss from Putik.
Havret uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Putik.
Putik moves out of range of the body kick.
Havret connects with the punch.
Havret wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Putik misses with a hook

and Havret moves into the clinch.
Havret lands a left hand that snaps the head of Putik backwards.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Havret.

Havret's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Havret keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Putik.
A left lands for Havret.
Havret darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Havret lands with a right hand.
Putik's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Havret connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Putik scrambles back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Havret misses with a low kick.
Putik clobbers Havret with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
It looks like Havret has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Putik throws an off balance right hand
and Havret finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Putik looks winded!
Havret connects with a good right hand that stumbles Putik. Putik circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Havret scores with a punch to the head.
A cross from Havret lands.
Havret fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Putik is out of range.
Nardong Putik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Putik misses with a combination
letting Havret counter with a right hand.


Putik is rocked!


It looks like Nardong Putik has been cut.
Putik lunges at Havret with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Havret's hand.
Putik might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Havret lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Putik is still on wobbly legs! Can Havret finish him?
Havret lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Putik falls backwards - clearly groggy! Havret dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Norman Havret!
A pretty intense looking Norman Havret took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
