Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pari Jakh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Pokrajac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Pari Jakh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Igor Pokrajac!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jakh ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Pokrajac attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Jakh tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Pokrajac counters with a straight right hand.
Jakh moves out of range as Pokrajac strikes.
Pokrajac connects with a leg kick. Jakh looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Pokrajac scoring well with a low kick there.
Jakh fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pokrajac avoids it really well and circles away.
Jakh throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Pokrajac stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jakh swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Pokrajac misses with a hook
and Jakh counters with a two punch combo.
Pokrajac swats away the attempt to clinch by Jakh.
Pokrajac looks to throw the jab but Jakh is out of range.

Jakh bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Jakh working the ground and pound but Pokrajac is defending the strikes.
Jakh wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pokrajac keeps working.

Jakh wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Pokrajac, who protects the arm well.
Pokrajac tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Pokrajac keeps trying to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jakh trying to control the position but Pokrajac is working away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jakh is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Pokrajac knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Jakh tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jakh has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Pokrajac is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Jakh lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Pokrajac down.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Pokrajac regains half guard.
Jakh sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Pokrajac defending well though.
Jakh is stalling here. Pokrajac is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Jakh seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Pokrajac has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Pokrajac is looking to take a break and control but Jakh is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

A close round but Igor Pokrajac will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Jakh takes a head kick and shrugs it off.


It looks like Pari Jakh has been cut.
Pokrajac throws a head kick but Jakh moves out of range.
Pokrajac tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Jakh slips under a jab.
Jakh looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
The fighters circling - Pokrajac throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Jakh is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Pokrajac steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Jakh misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Pokrajac throws a lazy head kick
and Jakh counters with a lovely straight right hand!


It looks like Igor Pokrajac has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jakh ducks under a wild hook from Pokrajac.

Jakh shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Jakh was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pokrajac is trying to control Jakh's posture but Jakh avoids it.

Pokrajac regains half guard, as Jakh was trying to land strikes.
Jakh is trying to control the action in half guard but Pokrajac is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Pokrajac is holding on to half guard well.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Pokrajac had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jakh defends it easily.

Jakh wants to control from the top but Pokrajac keeps moving.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Pokrajac tries a head kick but it misses.
Pokrajac lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Pokrajac throws a sloppy head kick and Jakh moves out of range easily.
Pokrajac lands a head kick. Jakh smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Pokrajac is breathing heavily.
Pokrajac misses with a lunging right hand
and Jakh makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Jakh tries to clinch but Pokrajac is having none of it.
Igor Pokrajac seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Pokrajac lands an overhand right.
Jakh lands with a kick to the temple. Pokrajac shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Pokrajac throws a hook but Jakh avoids it easily.
Pokrajac pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Jakh throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Pokrajac tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jakh is in Pokrajac's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jakh wants to control from the top but Pokrajac keeps moving.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jakh postures up and lands a big shot to Pokrajac's brow.
Pokrajac not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jakh tries to free his leg and advance position but Pokrajac is retaining full guard.
Jakh trying to control but Pokrajac is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jakh stands up and waves to Pokrajac to follow him.
Jakh doesn't manage to clinch there - Pokrajac circles away.
A slapping leg kick lands for Jakh.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Igor Pokrajac will probably get the nod - 10:9.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

and Jakh cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Jakh tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pokrajac swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jakh is defended easily by Pokrajac.
Jakh takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Jakh decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Pokrajac wants to improve his position but Jakh is controlling well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pokrajac is trying is best to control the position here.

Jakh is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Pokrajac has managed to free his arm - good work.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jakh connects with a nice short shot to Pokrajac's temple.
Jakh is just content to waste time from the top position. Pokrajac takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Pokrajac wants to improve his position but instead Jakh has moved into half guard.
Jakh wants to take a breather but Pokrajac is having none of it.

The fighters are battling for position here. Pokrajac manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Pokrajac manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jakh manages to get himself to full guard.

Pokrajac lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Pokrajac avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Pokrajac engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Pokrajac working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Jakh's head.
Pokrajac slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Pokrajac throws a big elbow that misses.
Pokrajac scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Jakh escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pokrajac gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Pokrajac is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Jakh is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Jakh has escaped and now he's on top!

I would just about give that final round to Igor Pokrajac.
I've got Pokrajac winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
