Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gustav Berglund (ranked 3653 p4p, 308 weight class) and Mustafa Wagdy (ranked 5362 p4p, 383 weight class). Berglund kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Sufjan Stevens - To Be Alone With You. Mustafa Wagdy told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Berglund throws a jab but it's blocked by Wagdy.
Wagdy moves out of range as Berglund strikes.
Wagdy bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Wagdy with the counter takedown but Berglund avoids it easily.
Berglund cracks Wagdy with an open hand slap.
Berglund looks to land a right hand but Wagdy moved out of range.
Wagdy changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Berglund lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Wagdy backs up against the cage.

Wagdy stands and throws Berglund's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Berglund is trying to buck Wagdy off.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Wagdy working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Berglund is not content to let Wagdy control the position.

Wagdy works to advance to full mount. Berglund defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Wagdy has hold of Berglund's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Berglund manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Wagdy wants to control the pace but Berglund is squirming around nicely.

Wagdy is working for a guillotine from mount but Berglund frees his head quite easily.

Wagdy is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Berglund can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Wagdy wants to finish this one by submission but Berglund is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Wagdy.

Wagdy is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Berglund is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Berglund flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Wagdy anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Berglund and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Wagdy slips an arm under Berglund chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Wagdy has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Wagdy is squeezing on Berglund like an anaconda would it's prey. Berglund fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
