The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marfaker lands with an uppercut that bounces Smith off the cage and back into range.
Juan Marfaker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Marfaker looking to land some kicks to the body here.
A nice side step and Smith releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Marfaker throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

and Marfaker counters with a leg kick.

A left lands for Marfaker.
Marfaker throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Smith pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Smith staying out of range there.
Marfaker goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Marfaker pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Marfaker connects with a looping right hand.
Smith has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Marfaker.
Marfaker's jab looks to have found its range, popping Smith under the eye.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Marfaker throws a sloppy head kick and Smith moves out of range easily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Marfaker. Smith does a little dance to reset his feet.
Marfaker lands with a kick to the temple. Smith shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Smith looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.

and Smith counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Marfaker thinking.

Marfaker misses with a body shot.
Marfaker throws a body punch but Smith moves out of range.
A jab lands there for Marfaker.
Marfaker lands a nice looking body kick.
Smith looks to land a left hand but Marfaker moved out of range nicely.
Marfaker really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Smith scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Marfaker misses with an uppercut.
Marfaker smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Smith walks into a left hand.

Smith is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Smith is still on wobbly legs! Can Marfaker finish him?
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Marfaker, as that shot connected.

and Marfaker counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Smith! He's just covering up as Marfaker starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
