Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Black (ranked 876 p4p, 100 weight class) and Robert Boone (ranked 836 p4p, 94 weight class). Black kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Manu Chao - Mr. Bobby. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Black looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

The crowd cheers as Black lands an impressive looking overhand right. Boone doesn't seem phased though.

Black has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Boone clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Boone told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Black has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Boone.
Black is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Black gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Black gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Black apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Boone might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Black's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Boone connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Black scrambles back to his feet.

The crowd cheers as Boone lands an impressive looking overhand right. Black doesn't seem phased though.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
