Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jc Cobb (ranked 5738 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Ponke (ranked 3669 p4p, 361 weight class). Ponke has chosen "Mr. Highways thinking about the end" by A Day to Remember as his entrance music. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ponke fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cobb sprawls well initially but Ponke persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Ponke is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Cobb is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Ponke wants to stand up but Cobb manages to regain full guard.

Ponke decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Cobb, up you get!

Ponke tries to sprawl but Cobb drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Ponke makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Cobb jumps into guard, dragging Ponke to the mat.
Cobb really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Ponke wants to get up but he can't break Cobb's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Cobb is working an open guard so Ponke takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Cobb shoots in and drives through. Ponke sprawls well.
Ponke connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Ponke misses with a series of wild punches.

Cobb drives through and clinches with Ponke against the cage.
Cobb jumps guard but Ponke stands there with Cobb around his waist. Cobb gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Ponke tries to break the clinch but Cobb is controlling the position.
Ponke wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Cobb has him pressed against the cage.

Cobb's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ponke throws a body kick that misses.
Cobb is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ponke sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Ponke rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cobb moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ponke stalks Cobb and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Cobb's face. Cobb staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Jc Cobb has been cut.
Brandon Ponke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cobb throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ponke tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Cobb is in Ponke's guard.

Cobb closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Ponke's guard.
