Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Xaito Siu (ranked 7372 p4p, 439 weight class) and Min Halloway (ranked 3816 p4p, 310 weight class). Xaito Siu has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Siu gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Siu manages to break the clinch.
Siu looks for a takedown but Halloway sprawls well.
Siu throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Siu avoids the elbow strike from Halloway, against the cage.
Halloway is pressed up against the cage. Siu has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Halloway down to the mat. Halloway avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Halloway throws a series of punches but Siu avoids them all with ease.
Siu avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Siu throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Halloway moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Halloway connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Siu's hands.
Siu ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
A counter left hand to the body from Siu misses its target.
Halloway stuffs the takedown attempt from Siu. Siu gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Xaito Siu. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Halloway misses the shot to the body.
Siu seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Sloppy strikes from Halloway. Those never looked like landing.
Siu tries to counter by clinching up but Halloway breaks away and moves out of range.
Halloway misses with a two punch combination.
Siu drops down looking for a counter takedown but Halloway sprawls and moves away.
Halloway fails in his attempt to clinch.

Halloway creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Halloway blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Siu goes for a takedown attempt but Halloway pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Siu can't get the takedown.
Halloway can't find room to land a body shot as Siu controls the action.
Siu makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Halloway.

Siu escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Siu throws a body shot but no joy.
As Siu backs off Halloway throws a huge counter combo but Siu manages to avoid it all.
Halloway tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Siu manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Halloway misses with a series of wild punches.
Siu throws a right and a left that Halloway avoids nicely.
Siu shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Halloway as he avoids it easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Halloway connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Siu momentarily.
Halloway tries to close the distance and clinch up but Siu swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Siu went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Siu misses with a head kick.
Nice sprawl there from Halloway as Siu shoots in.
Siu is breathing heavily.
Halloway stuns Siu with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Halloway scores with a decent looking hook.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Halloway misses with a series of wild punches.
Halloway listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Siu throws a series of punches but Halloway avoids them all with ease.
Halloway lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Siu is rocked!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Min Halloway dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Min Halloway seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Halloway is looking to clinch but Siu is avoiding it.
Halloway throws an overhand right that drops Siu like a sack of potatoes! Halloway dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
