Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Burl Perry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, David Eriksen!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Eriksen drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Perry is trying to get back to half guard.
You can see the frustration on Perry's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Perry tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Eriksen working away.

Eriksen tries for a kimura but Perry is defending well.
Perry is trying to improve his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Eriksen tries to move to mount but Perry blocks the move with his legs.
Perry is looking to regain half guard here but Eriksen keeps moving and retains side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
What's Perry going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.
Perry sneaks back into half guard.

Eriksen stands up from half guard.
Perry throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Eriksen's waist but Eriksen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Perry off to one side.
Perry misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Eriksen.
Eriksen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Eriksen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Perry, pushing him back against the cage.
Eriksen with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Perry has had enough of the clinch but Eriksen keeps him there for the moment.
Eriksen lands with a right to the head.


It looks like Burl Perry has been cut.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Perry manages to pull guard.
Perry trying to control the position.
Eriksen is looking to work some ground and pound but Perry has wrist control.
Perry thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Perry can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Eriksen controls the pace.

Eriksen stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Eriksen leaves Perry with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Eriksen clinches up against the cage.
Eriksen is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Eriksen lands a right hand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Eriksen gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Perry doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Eriksen showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Perry is trying to hold Eriksen in close to prevent damage but Eriksen has managed to pass into half guard.

Eriksen escapes and gets back to his feet.
Eriksen throws a head kick that misses.
Perry tries to clinch there but Eriksen circles away.
Perry throws a leg kick which misses Eriksen's front leg but catches the back leg as Eriksen tries to avoid it.

Eriksen gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Perry jumps guard but Eriksen stands there with Perry around his waist. Perry gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Burl Perry. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Eriksen throws an elbow that misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Perry drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Eriksen gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Eriksen lands a takedown into guard.
Eriksen being controlled here momentarily.

Eriksen stands and steps away. Perry gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Eriksen scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.


Perry is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Eriksen rushes Perry and presses him up against the cage.
Oh Perry is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Eriksen pulls Perry into guard.
Perry seems to have got his legs back now.
Eriksen preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Eriksen is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Perry swings away with an uppercut that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Eriksen dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Burl Perry's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Eriksen dives in and gets a big takedown. He lands in full mount and immediately unloads a series of heavy strikes! Perry has had enough and taps out.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). David Eriksen!
