The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aliev lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Aliev.

Magomedov shoots in looking for a takedown. Aliev tries to sprawl out of it but Magomedov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Aliev manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Magomedov is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Aliev defends it well.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Magomedov connects with a nice short shot to Aliev's temple.
