Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Quantum Lock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kiro Kirov!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kirov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Lock drops down looking for a counter takedown but Kirov sprawls and moves away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Lock.

Kirov looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Kirov tries to stand but can't do so whilst Lock controls his leg.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kirov is working for a kimura but Lock is defending it quite comfortably.
Lock wants to control but Kirov is keeping busy and won't allow it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lock is trying to get back to full guard.
Lock is doing well to control the position and prevent Kirov from advancing to side control.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Kirov looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lock is fending him off so far but Kirov persists. Nope, Lock circles away and we're back to standing.
Lock stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lock wants it to stay on the feet.
Quantum Lock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kiro Kirov.

Lock clinches up with Kirov and pushes him back against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lock wants to break free but Kirov has control.
Kirov tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Kirov is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Lock to keep the fight standing.

Lock gets control of Kirov's arms and successfully pulls guard. Lock will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Lock managing to control the position.

Lock has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kirov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kirov slips nicely into half guard.

Lock landing a few short strikes.
The fighters are battling for position here. Lock manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Lock is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Lock is looking to sweep but instead, Kirov has passed into half guard.
Lock is refusing to be controlled, as Kirov sits in half guard.
Lock is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Lock is working hard here to advance position.
Lock looks like he's trying to stand up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lock keeping hold of Kirov's head, controlling as best he can.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kirov wants to stand but Lock has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Quantum Lock will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Kirov moves into the clinch.
Lock tries to land knees in the clinch but Kirov avoids the damage to the body.
Lock is trying to drag Kirov to the mat but Kirov just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Kirov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kirov swings away with a leg kick that misses.
As Kirov tries to get set, Lock tries to push him back and clinch up but Kirov manages to avoid the attempt.
Lock works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kirov moves into the clinch.
Kirov tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Lock smiles and moves away.
Lock pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Kirov closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Lock quickly recovers to half guard.
We've been informed that Kirov has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Kirov is working for a submission of some sort.

Lock looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Lock wants to improve his position but Kirov is controlling well.
Lock trying to control but Kirov postures up.
Kirov tries to stand and escape but Lock is controlling the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kirov is thwarting Lock's attempts to control the position.
Lock is looking to escape.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Kirov closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lock circles away.
Lock shoots in for a takedown but Kirov shows good takedown defense.

Kirov decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Kirov is trying to control. Lock wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Lock wants to control the action here but instead Kirov manages to pass to full mount!
Lock has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Lock wants to control but Kirov is having none of it.

Lock is desperately trying to improve his position but Kirov has a good base and remains in mount.
Kirov looking to control but Lock is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Lock flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Lock is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Lock is bucking up trying to escape but Kirov cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Lock holds on, trying desperately to control.
Kirov throwing strikes but Lock recovers to half guard. A much better position.
Lock is refusing to be controlled, as Kirov sits in half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Lock desperately trying to maintain half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kiro Kirov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Lock takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Kirov misses with a takedown attempt - Lock sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Lock shoots in and drives through. Kirov sprawls well.

Kirov gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lock to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Lock postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kirov can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lock controls the pace.
Kirov has his hands on Lock's head, controlling the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kirov wants to hit a switch here but Lock passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Kirov there!
Kirov is trying desperately to improve position.
Lock looking to finish Kirov with some ground and pound. This is bad for Kirov!

Lock looking for a guillotine from mount but Kirov is having none of it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kirov tries to hold on but Lock postures up.
Kirov might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Lock haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Kirov tries to reverse the position but Lock maintains control.
Lock lands a heavy elbow.
Lock looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Lock has hold of Kirov's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Kirov manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Lock raining down shots from the mount!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kirov keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Lock putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Lock wants to get back to his feet but Kirov is holding on tight.
Lock lands a big elbow.

Lock is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lock blocks a head kick by Kirov.
Kirov takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Kirov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lock as he avoids it easily.
Kirov avoids a punch combination nicely.

Lock shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kirov's guard.

Kirov pushes Lock off and scrambles back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kirov moves out of range of the body kick from Lock.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Lock fails with a takedown attempt.

And that's the end of the fight!
Quantum Lock showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Lock has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
