PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Halid Magomedov (ranked 7975 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Showtime (ranked 6562 p4p, 0 weight class). Showtime has chosen Old Toms Hut as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magomedov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Showtime as he avoids it easily.
Magomedov blocks a head kick by Showtime.

Showtime has managed to clinch.

Showtime breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Showtime drops Magomedov with a beautiful combination! Magomedov stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Showtime is looking for the KO!

Magomedov is rocked!

Showtime clinches with his opponent.
Oh Magomedov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Showtime jumps into guard, dragging Magomedov to the mat.
Magomedov seems to have got his legs back now.
Magomedov wants to pass the guard but Showtime is keeping the position.

Showtime pushes Magomedov off and scrambles back to his feet.
Magomedov takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
A nice combination there by Showtime.

Showtime shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Magomedov but Magomedov pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Magomedov misses with a takedown attempt - Showtime sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Showtime lands a nice shot to the body.

Showtime pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Magomedov misses with a body kick.
And Showtime tries to counter it with a takedown but Magomedov pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Magomedov on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Magomedov drops his hands for a split second and Showtime immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Magomedov face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Showtime follows up with a right hand that knocks Magomedov into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
