Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luukas Porvola (ranked 4133 p4p, 509 weight class) and Luka Giou (ranked 5221 p4p, 587 weight class). The key to victory for Luukas Porvola has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Porvola dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Porvola throws a body punch but Giou moves out of range.
Giou has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Giou there as he acknowledges the shot.

Giou throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Porvola was covering up waiting for the punch and Giou finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Giou tries to free his leg and advance position but Porvola is retaining full guard.
Porvola has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Porvola's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Giou makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Giou.

Giou escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Porvola gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Porvola slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Giou has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Porvola can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Luukas Porvola will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Luukas Porvola has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luka Giou.
Porvola fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Giou to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Giou looks to clinch but Porvola throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Giou taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

After the fight, Luukas Porvola was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
