The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magomedrasulov fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Magomedrasulov feints and as Davies raises his hands in defense, Magomedrasulov changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Davies manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Davies gets a clinch.

Magomedrasulov breaks from the clinch.

Davies is looking for the big counter here.
Davies throws a shot from downtown. Magomedrasulov moves away and avoids it.
Magomedrasulov tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Davies escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Magomedrasulov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Magomedrasulov won't allow Davies to get back to his feet.
Magomedrasulov wants to stand and escape but instead Davies has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Davies is nestled in close to Magomedrasulov, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Davies seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Magomedrasulov does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Horrible takedown attempt by Davies or perhaps it was just good defense by Magomedrasulov, which made it look bad.

Magomedrasulov lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Davies at a distance.

Magomedrasulov clinches up with Davies and pushes him back against the cage.
Magomedrasulov is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Davies is defending well for now.
Davies has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Magomedrasulov is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Davies is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Magomedrasulov is surviving well by controlling Davies's body position as best he can.
Magomedrasulov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Davies on the ground.

Davies jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Magomedrasulov manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Davies throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
