PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Starman (ranked 3918 p4p, 417 weight class) and Jon Snow (ranked 1662 p4p, 200 weight class). Starman comes to the ring accompanied by wrestlers. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snow stuffs the takedown attempt from Starman. Starman gets slowly back to his feet.
Starman misses with a looping left.
We've been hearing reports that Starman has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Snow tests Starman's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Starman misses the shot to the body.
Starman throws a hook to the side of Snow's head but Snow sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Starman ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Snow walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Starman throws a hook to the side of Snow's head but Snow sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Snow is fighting off a takedown attempt but Starman is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Snow to the mat. Snow regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Snow can do anything to dispel that myth.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Snow lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - a gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.

Well Snow has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
