Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tim Pigeon!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Hirohito Nitta and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pigeon keeps the fight on the outside.
Pigeon swats away the attempt to clinch by Thaichenpaew.
Thaichenpaew tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Pigeon manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Thaichenpaew throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Pigeon blocks an elbow strike from Thaichenpaew.
With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Thaichenpaew just misses with a elbow thrown towards Pigeon's brow.
Pigeon goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Pigeon avoids a wild elbow strike from Thaichenpaew.
Pigeon presses Thaichenpaew against the ropes and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Thaichenpaew tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Pigeon drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Thaichenpaew gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Thaichenpaew looking to throw knees to the head but Pigeon is blocking nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
With the fighters up against the ropes, Thaichenpaew throws an elbow but misses.

Pigeon has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Thaichenpaew uses from the top position.

Pigeon drops down looking for an ankle pick but Thaichenpaew pulls his leg out and moves away.

Thaichenpaew tries to keep at a distance but Pigeon has taken the fight into the clinch.
Thaichenpaew lands a left hand.
Our sources have told us that Thaichenpaew has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.
Pigeon pushes off an throws an elbow but Thaichenpaew leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the ropes.
Pigeon lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Pigeon wants to take the fight to the mat but Thaichenpaew manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Satirinpong Thaichenpaew has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tim Pigeon.

Thaichenpaew connects with a nasty looking knee right to Pigeon's face.
Pigeon blocks the elbow strike.

Pigeon working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Thaichenpaew doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Pigeon is tightening it up a little... Thaichenpaew has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Thaichenpaew reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Thaichenpaew taps out! Nice BJJ there by Pigeon!
