The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice jab there from Medoza.
A big right from Medoza misses.
Collis unleashes a big counter combination but Medoza bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Medoza misses with a lunging right hand

and Collis moves into the clinch.
Medoza is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Collis is defending well for now.
Collis tries to break the clinch but Medoza is controlling the position.

Medoza escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Medoza feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Collis sprawling to the canvas! Collis rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Medoza finish him?!

It looks like Max Collis has been cut.
Gabriel Medoza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Collis tries to clinch but fails miserably
