Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cobweb Cooter (ranked 461 p4p, 62 weight class) and Joseph OByrne (ranked 372 p4p, 50 weight class). Cooter comes into the arena with Porch Honky blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
OByrne tests Cooter's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Cooter just misses with a punch to the body.
OByrne tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Cooter is able to avoid easily.

A jab-cross combination lands for Cooter and sends OByrne crashing to the mat! Cooter follows him down to the mat - OByrne regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Cooter is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and OByrne defends well.

Cooter escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. OByrne gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's time! Cooter's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

OByrne leaves Cooter with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Cooter throws a shot from downtown. OByrne moves away and avoids it.
Cooter throws the left hand but OByrne avoids the punch easily.
Cooter takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
OByrne slaps away a takedown attempt from Cooter, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cobweb Cooter. That's going to take a lot out of him.
OByrne fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Cooter.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by OByrne.

Cooter walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Cooter dives in and grabs OByrne's left leg, looking for a takedown. OByrne pushes down on Cooter's head and hops out.

OByrne stuffs the takedown attempt from Cooter. Cooter gets slowly back to his feet.
Cooter looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
OByrne throws a lazy body kick

and Cooter counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for OByrne!
