New org, new guys, but I hope this is a lesson to all fighters, 3 no contest on a single card. 2 for not making their flights & 1 for both fighters not making weight. Now this event got a terrible rating as a result, which if that keeps happening then our fighters will be out of a job. Also, my fight was a NC because the opponent didn't make travel arrangements, and I won't discuss the amount of pay I missed but I will say now I am in a very, very rough spot with my training/gym costs until my next fight, also I was going to use my manager's 10% cut to help out my younger fighters & missed that too. It hurts everybody when these things happen. My suggestion to the org owner is, it's a pain, but you might want/have to send out reminders to everyone to make weight & proper travel arrangments, maybe even a couple times leading up to an event. That's my say. |
