4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tomasz Adamek! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rob Hughes! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Eddie Farnsworth and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hughes takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Tomasz Adamek seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hughes fails with the takedown. Hughes takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Adamek is looking to clinch but Hughes is avoiding it.
Adamek misses with a few strikes there.
Adamek lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Adamek swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hughes throws an off balance right hand
and Adamek counters with a one-two to the body. Some wild striking there from Adamek.
Adamek looks to land a combination. Hughes sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Hughes is rocked! Hughes leaves his chin hanging out and Adamek seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Hughes crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Starr! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, John Kavanagh and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sweeney gets caught flat footed, as Starr shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Starr trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Starr postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Sweeney is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Sweeney on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Sweeney tries to get out of the position. Sweeney is looking for a triangle here but Starr uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Starr has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. No joy there for Starr, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nice sprawl there from Sweeney as Starr shoots in. Sweeney closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Sweeney lands in his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Starr is trying to hold Sweeney in close to prevent damage but Sweeney has managed to pass into half guard.

Sweeney is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Starr is just riding it out for now. Sweeney eventually gives up the hold. Sweeney passes to full mount! Starr really wants to buck Sweeney off and get back to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sweeney landing punches. Starr is looking to improve his position but Sweeney isn't that keen on the idea. Starr is squirming around, avoiding Sweeney's attempts to control the action.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Sweeney has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Starr's face.
Sweeney jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Starr manages to avoid the submission attempt. Starr is looking to regain half guard here but Sweeney keeps moving and retains side control. Starr manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Sweeney is staying active underneath Starr, who seems content to just control the action from this position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Kyle Sweeney will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Sweeney shoots in and bounces Starr off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Starr is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Sweeney wants to control from the top but Starr keeps moving. Starr wants to sweep but no luck.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sweeney is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Starr tries to clinch up but Sweeney circles away and keeps his distance. Sweeney misses with a takedown attempt - Starr sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Kyle Sweeney is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Sweeney clinches with his opponent.
Starr wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Sweeney pulls Starr into guard.

He's controlling the position at the moment. Sweeney is trying to control but can't.
Sweeney tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Starr has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sweeney is squirming around, avoiding Starr's attempts to control the action. Sweeney tries to hold on but Starr pushes him away. Sweeney is desperately trying to improve his position but Starr has a good base and remains in mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Sweeney tries to lock up and control but Starr gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Starr misses with a head shot. Sweeney can't escape the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Starr breaks from Sweeney's wrist control and lands an elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Starr tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Sweeney wants to clinch. A punch combination from Starr misses. Starr looks to clinch and Sweeney counters with a shoot takedown. Starr fights it but they end up in guard. Starr keeping moving, preventing Sweeney from controlling successfully. Starr wants to sweep but no luck. Sweeney stands and steps away. Starr gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Starr darts in trying to clinch so Sweeney counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sweeney advances position into side control! Starr takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Starr is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Sweeney landing a few strikes. Starr is looking to reverse the position. Sweeney trying to control the position but Starr is working away. Sweeney goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Starr rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Sweeney's guard! Nice work there by Starr!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Sweeney has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Starr can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Starr accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Starr controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Starr with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sweeney scrambles and gets back to his feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Guerrero swings for the body but Johnson moves out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - Johnson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Johnson doesn't manage to clinch there - Guerrero circles away.
Johnson moves in looking to clinch but Guerrero pushes him off. A combination from Johnson does no damage. Guerrero throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Guerrero drops Johnson with a left and a right! Oh, Johnson is hurt - Guerrero dives into side control looking to finish!
Johnson is rocked! Guerrero decides to stand back up. Guerrero steps back and let's Johnson get back to his feet. Oh Johnson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Johnson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Guerrero as he avoids it easily. Johnson seems to have got his legs back now. Johnson jabbing away but nothing is landing. Johnson moves into range and clinches up with Guerrero. Guerrero manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

and Guerrero cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Johnson falls off balance throwing a combination

and Guerrero counters with a lovely straight right hand! Guerrero circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Johnson to the canvas! Johnson doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Guerrero keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bull scores with a jab to the body. Brogor looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Brogor closes the distance and clinches up with Bull, looking for a takedown. Brogor pushes Bull against the cage but Bull circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Bull gets the takedown into side control. Brogor trying to remain calm as Bull controls from the top position. Bull is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Brogor has escaped the position, nice work there. Bull tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bull has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Bull looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Brogor wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! A lull in the action here.

He has the arm isolated but Brogor is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Bull tries for a kimura but Brogor is defending well. Brogor on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Bull wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Brogor, who protects the arm well. Brogor struggling a bit here.

Bald Bull has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jabrond Brogor. Brogor on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Bull fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Brogor, pushing him back against the cage. Brogor fails to pull guard.

Bull gets a trip takedown into half guard. Bull controlling the pace. Bull seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Brogor for as long as he can get away with. Bull sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Brogor defending well though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Brogor on the wrong end of a nice jab. Bull rushes Brogor and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Bull leaning his opponent against the cage. Bull wants the takedown. Brogor is fighting it off but Bull persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Brogor's guard against the cage. Bull tries to free his leg and advance position but Brogor is retaining full guard. Bull postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Brogor is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bull, into his guard. Bull looking for a guillotine here but Brogor defends easily.
Bull could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Brogor is the more experienced fighter here and he's going to need to draw on some of that experience if he's going to pull this one out the bag. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quackenboss wants to clinch. Quackenboss will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Kappa tries to clinch up. Quackenboss throws a low kick but it's checked well by Kappa. Quackenboss pushes Kappa up against the cage in a clinch. Quackenboss tries to pull guard but Kappa won't allow it.
Kappa will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Quackenboss up against the cage. Kappa gets underhooks to prevent Quackenboss's takedown attempt.

Quackenboss is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Kappa must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Quackenboss throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Quackenboss keeping full guard, as Kappa tries to pass. Kappa is taking a break and basically stalling. Quackenboss manages to hold on to the position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Quackenboss working away. Kappa is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Quackenboss really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Kappa looks to move to half guard but instead Quackenboss has passed into mount! Damn! Kappa is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Quackenboss swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kappa throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Quackenboss working for a triangle but Kappa defends it easily.
Kappa wants to control from the top but Quackenboss keeps moving. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kappa looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Quackenboss wants to sweep here but Kappa controlling him for the moment. Kappa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Quackenboss. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Quackenboss can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kappa controls the pace. Quackenboss keeping moving, preventing Kappa from controlling successfully. Kappa trying to stand up but can't free himself from Quackenboss's guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Quackenboss doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kappa counters by moving into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Quackenboss drags the fight down to the ground.
