 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Otstoev fails with a takedown attempt. Paranito looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Otstoev shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Paranito but Paranito pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Otstoev shoots in and bounces Paranito off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Otstoev really is a fat lump. Otstoev trying to control but Paranito is working from the bottom. Otstoev pushes down on Paranito's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Otstoev is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Paranito is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Paiva connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Neckless tumbling to the canvas! Paiva pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Neckless was done - good stoppage!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva catches Floyd with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Floyd misses with a head kick.
Silva lands a left and a right that sends Floyd crashing to the canvas! Silva dives into mount looking to finish!
 Floyd is rocked!
 It looks like Pink Floyd has been cut. Floyd is trying desperately to improve position. Floyd wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Floyd is really stuck here.
Floyd breaks Silva's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Silva working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Floyd. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Silva has control of Floyd's left arm, preventing Floyd from doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Silva is trying to control the position from the bottom.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Floyd throws a strike but Silva rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Floyd looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Silva puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Floyd is looking for a sweep. Silva is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Floyd is refusing to be controlled, as Silva sits in half guard. Floyd wants to get back to full guard.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
 Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Silva throws a nice looking combination but Floyd bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Silva pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Floyd throws a left that rocks Silva and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Floyd dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Silva regain composure!
 Silva is rocked! Floyd scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Silva is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Floyd can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carano is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Matters has a takedown stuffed. Matters closes this distance looking for a takedown but Carano circles away. Matters changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carano tries to avoid it but Matters manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carano to the ground. Carano escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Gina Carano has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marshall Matters. Carano drops his shoulder and cracks Matters with a huge uppercut! Matters goes down! Can Carano finish him?
 Matters is rocked!
 It looks like Marshall Matters has been cut. Carano tries to free his leg and advance position but Matters is retaining full guard. Matters is still in real trouble! Can Carano finish him? Matters wants to sweep here but Carano controlling him for the moment. Matters seems to have recovered his senses. Carano controlling from the top position.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Matters is trying to control the position from the bottom.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Matters is on top in guard.
Matters stops Carano from standing up.
Matters drops back looking for a leg! Carano is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Carano manages to kick Matters off! Matters jumps back into Carano's guard. Matters in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Carano preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Carano wants to get back to his feet but Matters is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Matters is pushing down on Carano's leg trying to pass to half guard. Carano is fighting to maintain full guard but Matters has managed to sneak the leg through. Matters is just content to waste time from the top position. Carano takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Carano trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Matters trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Matters trying to control but Carano is working from the bottom. Matters won't allow Carano to get back to his feet. Matters looking to pass the guard. Matters with a flurry of punches that miss. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Matters stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Carano swivels though and keeps the full guard.
 It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Matters shoots in but no luck this time. Nice takedown defense from Carano. No joy for Matters on that attempt. Matters looks gassed! Matters circles away from the clinch attempt.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Matters shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Marshall Matters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Carano is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Matters tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Carano swivels and escapes. Matters has a takedown stuffed. Matters will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Carano takes the fight into the clinch. Matters is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Carano using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Matters has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Matters drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Matters is trying to stall.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Carano just misses with a elbow thrown towards Matters's brow. Carano controlling the action here for a moment.
And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Gina Carano dominated that round. The cut man is working on Marshall Matters's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Carano looks to score with a jab to the body but Matters is just out of range.
Matters shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Matters was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Matters is landing with some decent strikes but Carano is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Matters is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Carano can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carano is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Matters throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Carano tries to buck Matters off but he can't manage it. Carano is in all sorts of trouble here.
Matters scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Carano?
 That's one minute gone in the round. Carano taking shots to the head. Matters with shots to the head and body - Carano looks very uncomfortable down there. Matters pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. BOOM! Matters connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Matters landing strikes from the mount and Carano is in trouble! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Carano tries to hold on but Matters postures up. The referee warns Carano that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Matters throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Carano blocking the ground and pound.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. BOOM! Matters connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Matters has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Matters scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Matters lands a heavy elbow. Matters controlling his opponent. Matters landing shots from mount. Carano tries to hold on but Matters postures up. Matters raining down shots from the mount! Matters thowing shots but they're missing. Carano on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Carano tries to get out of the position.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Matters with good strikes from the mount here! Carano is in a horrible position here. Matters smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Matters controlling the pace for now. Matters throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Carano because Matters loaded up on that one. Matters working away from the top, dropping strikes. Carano is in a horrible position here. Matters smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Matters moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Carano has worked his arm free - good work by Carano!

Marshall Matters showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Marshall Matters's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Matters shoots in for a takedown but Carano shows good takedown defense. Matters fails with a takedown attempt. Matters takes a kick to the side of the head.
Matters looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Carano! Matters blocks Carano's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Carano tries to hold on but Matters postures up. Carano really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Carano is squirming around, avoiding Matters's attempts to control the action. Matters takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Carano tries to hold on but Matters pushes him away. Matters throws some wild stikes that Carano manages to avoid easily.
Matters connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Matters punching from mount but Carano doing a good job of avoiding damage. Matters landing strikes from the mount and Carano is in trouble! Carano is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Carano regains half guard. Matters is stalling here. Carano is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Matters seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Carano has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Carano working away. Matters is looking for a sweep. Marshall Matters has got the better of the ground game so far. Carano controlling the position from side mount. Carano wants to lay and pray for a moment but Matters keeps working.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Carano misses with a head kick.
Matters tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Carano swivels and escapes. Gina Carano has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marshall Matters. Carano keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Nice sprawl there from Carano as Matters shoots in. Carano looks to score with a jab to the body but Matters is just out of range. Matters swats away the attempt to clinch by Carano. Carano doesn't manage to clinch there - Matters circles away.
A head kick misses from Carano. The fight stays on the outside here - Carano looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Nice takedown defense from Carano. No joy for Matters on that attempt.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Matters shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Carano pinned against the cage. Carano gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Carano tries a head kick but it misses.
Matters shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Carano but Carano pushes him off and we're back to square one. Matters fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Matters fails to land the takedown. Matters shoots in for a double leg but Carano sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Matters shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Matters throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Carano's waist but Carano gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Matters off to one side.
Matters drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Gina Carano. I think Carano has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arealius throws a series of punches but Giera moves out of range. Arealius tries to clinch there but Giera circles away.
Giera takes a jab right on the kisser.
Arealius moves forwards but Giera connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Arealius moves into the clinch successfully.
Arealius keeps control of Giera as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Giera drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Arealius gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Arealius breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Giera tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Arealius throws a leg kick but Giera checks it. Arealius misses with a head kick.
Giera swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Arealius counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Giera is breathing heavily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Giera shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Arealius as he jumps to the side. and Arealius counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends Giera down! Arealius is looking to finish but Giera is intelligently defending himself.

Giera has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Arealius can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Giera has a closed guard, preventing Arealius from standing up. Arealius slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Headbenze can do anything to dispel that myth.

Headbenze is looking to regain half guard here but Fox keeps moving and retains side control. Conrado Headbenze has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

 Chonin is rocked! A big right from Katasonov misses. Oh Chonin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Chonin is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Katasonov screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
