The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reinold decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Skripplenorth looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Reinold wants to control but Skripplenorth is keeping him busy. Reinold is pressing down on Skripplenorth's thigh, looking to free his foot. Skripplenorth is holding on for now. Skripplenorth tries to roll over but Reinold keeps him under control. Reinold is looking for a kimura but Skripplenorth is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Reinold to get the leverage.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Reinold tries to clinch up but Skripplenorth circles away and keeps his distance. Reinold is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Canseco as Erickson shoots in. Canseco shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Canseco stands up over Erickson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Erickson is rocked! Canseco content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Oh Erickson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Canseco lands a couple of decent looking shots. Canseco is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Erickson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Canseco postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Canseco connects with a couple of short punches. Canseco chips away with some ground and pound.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Canseco scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Canseco landing strikes. Canseco grinds an elbow into Erickson's temple. Erickson is looking to reverse the position. Canseco cracks Erickson with a big right hand but Erickson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Canseco is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Erickson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Canseco works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
And that's the end of the fight! Jose Canseco comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Canseco has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Unbreakable shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Soprano but Soprano pushes him off and we're back to square one. Unbreakable gets full guard. Unbreakable bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Soprano's guard. H Y Kwon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kwon tries to clinch but Rao is having none of it. Rao tries to bum rush Kwon with a series of wild strikes but Kwon uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Kwon throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Kwon misses with a takedown attempt and Rao counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Kwon tries to score with a low kick but Rao moves his leg out of the way. Rao shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Kwon misses with an uppercut. Kwon moves out of range of the body kick from Rao.
Kwon lands a jab to Rao's midsection. Rao throws a head kick but Kwon moves out of range.
Rao takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. An inside leg kick from Rao misses. A head kick misses from Rao. Kwon misses with a two punch combination.
Kwon pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Rao fails to land with a series of punches.
And that's the end of the fight! Meng Rao comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Rao has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Otter throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Otter wants to clinch. Otter is looking to clinch. No luck for Blackbelt with that takedown attempt. Otter fails with an attempt to clinch.
Otter tries to clinch up but Blackbelt circles away and keeps his distance. Blackbelt closes the distance but Otter moves to the side and Otter counters into the clinch. Nicely done. A knee to the head by Blackbelt.
Blackbelt gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Otter misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Blackbelt will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Otter is looking for a sweep. Blackbelt is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Otter makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Otter. Blackbelt throwing strikes from guard but Otter blocks nicely. Otter lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Blackbelt! Blackbelt is bucking up trying to escape but Otter cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blackbelt takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Otter lands a big shot there that rocks Blackbelt but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Otter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Blackbelt. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Otter scoring with strikes but Blackbelt is staying in there. Blackbelt really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Blackbelt slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Blackbelt is looking to improve his position.
Blackbelt has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Otter not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Otter looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Blackbelt with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Blackbelt wants to get back to full guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Blackbelt is pressing down on Otter's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Blackbelt is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Otter postures up in Blackbelt's guard and throws a big left but Blackbelt blocks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Otter won't allow Blackbelt to sweep him here. Otter must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Otter postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Otter is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Otter keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Blackbelt's head. Otter postures up and lands a big shot to Blackbelt's brow. Blackbelt tries to land a sweep but no joy. Otter scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Otter cracks Blackbelt with a solid left hand. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Blackbelt working for a triangle but Otter defends it easily.
Blackbelt is breathing heavily. Blackbelt is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Otter with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Otter avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Otter distracts Blackbelt with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Otter lands a couple of elbows. Otter trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Otter works a leg free and moves into half guard. Otter wants to pass to mount but Blackbelt is defending the position. Otter gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Otter tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Blackbelt paws at him with a jab and circles away. Blackbelt shoots and misses and Otter counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Otter. Otter gets through Blackbelt's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. A right handed body shot lands from Otter.
Otter works on Blackbelt's body with a couple of short punches. Otter wants to break the clinch but can't.
Otter breaks from the clinch.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Blackbelt with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Otter lands a body punch in the clinch. Otter lands an uppercut.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Otter scores with a hook to the body. Otter breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. The fight stays on the outside here - Otter looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Stan Otter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Otter cracks Blackbelt with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Otter has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Blackbelt to stand back up!
Blackbelt is rocked! Otter walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Blackbelt drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Otter swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Blackbelt's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stan Otter! Stan Otter is the new light heavyweight champion!
