The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hipfl avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hipfl misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Hipfl wants to clinch. Hipfl shoots in looking for a takedown. Katze tries to sprawl out of it but Hipfl keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Katze manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Katze shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Katze showed some decent athleticism there. Hipfl looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Katze takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Katze content to control rather than advance. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Katze landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Hipfl gets back to full guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rao takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Rao throws a series of punches but Harper moves out of range. Harper swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Harper jabbing away but nothing is landing. Rao has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Harper finds it's way round the side to connect with Rao's head. Rao with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
